California Girl

As I do not believe in half measures, I decided to follow the import route for my first breeding cat and after a long search and many months of waiting, I found the girl destined to be my California Girl. In January 2000 CuriaCooni rolled out the red carpet for its first breeding female in the form of an exquisite classic blue tabby named named Coonyham Chasca! (Pedigree). In the spirit of no half measures we fetched Chasca in Frohnleiten, Austria at the Blue Danube Cat Club Show from Laura Cunningham of Coonyham Maine Coons, California.

Date of Birth: 1 September 1999

Chasca is a lovely girl, known for her exquisite Maine Coon expression and amazing lynx tips. Her body is long and well built with a plume for a tail!

Her nickname was "Prom Queen" and that is exactly what this girl is! Very affectionate but very regal in her mannerisms… Some would call her a brat, but I call her my gorgeous girl J

Show Career:

Chasca is now a Champion, with 3 certificates towards a Grand (another 3 is needed).

Some highlights:

January 2000: Coonyham Chasca competed in the Blue Danube Cat Show in Austria and reached 3 finals! She was awarded 2nd Best Kitten twice and 2nd Best Long Haired Kitten once. The points accumulated here earned her the placing of TICA's Best Kitten in the International Region for 1999 / 2000!

May 2000: At the MCIG Show held in Pretoria, South Africa, Chasca was awarded Best Main Coon Kitten by Barbara Ray from Willowplace Maine Coons!

March 2001: At the Transvaal Cat Society Show held in Johannesburg, SA Chasca was awarded Best Maine Coon Female by Francesca Gagern from Tuscaloosa Maine Coons, as well as Best Mediumhair Adult on show.
