Rambling Rose Imoya Devon Rex Cattery - Pretoria, South Africa |
|
Many thanks to Elaine from Elma's for letting us have this beautiful baby. She arrived (a little scared) by airplane from Port Elizabeth on 7 April 2002. She was very shy for the first day or so. We decided to call her Rosie, but when she overcame her shyness, we quickly changed her name to Rambles, which rhymes with shambles for obvious reasons. With new human mommy Danél a few days after arrival. "I'm now getting fed up with you clicking that thing in my face!!" "...there goes Maestro, can I go and play?" Charming Judge Barbara Sherman (and everyone else) at the show Ramblin Rose was renamed to "Blommie" that means "Flower" in Afrikaans. She is still such a sweetie but we have not been able to mate her successfully - someone must have informed her about the risks of getting pregnant. Her show career is going well and she is now a Grand Champion. We are hoping to convince her to "put her veils down" and come into heat soon. She will be mated to Meastro as soon as this happens.
